Dan Sheppard's 35 years as a creative professional have taken him from Madison Avenue to Rhode Island by way of several consumer and business to business ad agencies.  His grasp of branding began as a commercial producer and art director for Folger's Coffee, People Magazine, Jeep, Heublein, and Iberia Airlines, to name a few.  Taking a decade of award-winning consumer background to Rhode Island, he served as Creative Director at two of the area's leading business-to-business ad agencies, implementing campaigns for area banks, manufacturers, and upscale retail destinations, including A.T.Cross, Rhode Island Mall, and Garden City Center.  Dan's talents span strategic brand concepting, positioning, writing, and design.  Working directly with clients, he is quick to identify opportunities and suggest sound, workable creative solutions.

Out of the office, Dan enjoys escaping to the Adirondacks, biking, drawing, and working for his wife in their sizeable vegetable garden in Barrington, RI.

 

  Jaime Leger vaulted into the business world with a  degree, some street smarts, and an attitude for extreme client service.  Jaime's journey to the forefront of his own company began in the most unusual way - as an intern. Two decades later, with an MBA under his arm, he still works with many of the same clients that he formed relationships with almost twenty years ago. Over the course of his career, Jaime's entrepreneurial drive has resulted in growing many clients’ businesses, from start ups to Fortune 500 companies, across both the B2B and B2C.

Jaime serves on many committees including the Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum (SNEEF) at UMass Dartmouth. He is currently a guest speaker on Social Media Marketing, and is the President of the newly formed Providence Chapter of the International Social Media Club.  He makes his home in Bristol, RI with his wife and two children.   Ed Nowak, SLN's president and resident Yoda, began his career as a PR professional and grew into account service and media planning, then to principal owner of Spencer Bennet Nowak, a highly regarded business to business full service agency.  Along the way, he built decades-long friendships with clients, publishers, editors, and media reps.  Everyone who works with Ed enjoys his straightforward business acumen and his dry sense of humor. His core strengths include strategic marketing for business to businesss clients in general, and HVAC-related industres in particular. 

In his tuxedo, Ed is an accomplished trumpet player and musician.  In his old clothes, he lives in Taunton, MA with  his wife, horses, and assorted barn cats.  

 

   Bob Mayoh has worked in marketing communications positions, with special emphasis in public relations, since 1982, when he first entered the private sector after serving six years in the U.S. Force. Over the ensuing years he worked for a then-major chamber of commerce in RI, a two-state, staff-model HMO, a national home health care provider of dialysis and pain management services, and several RI and Florida advertising agencies, to include Chaffee & Partners of Providence, RI and Cook Marketing Communications, of Jacksonville, Florida, where he ran the agency’s public relations department and supervised accounts ranging from the Florida Prepaid College Plan to Winn-Dixie Supermarkets.

He is the author of Wind on the Sail: The Life and Times of John Hazen White. He also wrote and produced weekly segments of Lookout, a RI public affairs television show hosted by John Hazen White, Jr. during 2004-2005. At the present time he works with Mr. White in producing a bi-weekly Lookout newspaper column which appears in several weekly newspapers across RI.

Bob is a four-time winner of the Bell Ringer Award and several Bell Ringer Merit awards, presented for excellence in public relations by the Boston Publicity Club. 

 

  Marina Dippel is our Social Media & Community Engagement Director at SLN.  She works with our B2B clients in the technology and manufacturing sectors, developing social media marketing strategies to drive customer engagement and loyalty. Her experience with social media & online community management spans the business, technology, and education sectors.

Marina took her first social media road test in 2004, when facilitating online discussions and collaboration networks for the eLearning program with the Stanford University and the Microsoft UnlimitedPotential (UP) partnership while working for the PH International. Prior to joining us, she worked with Cymfony of WPP’s Kantar Media Group, a market influence analytics company providing social & traditional media insights to Fortune 500 clients.

Ms. Dippel has a Master’s in Public & International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA in Marketing & Sustainability from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

 

  Tony Campo, our Senior Art Director, has a self-described "passion" for graphic design, and his skills show it. In the course of his career, he's worked for several in-house marketing departments, and has freelanced for some very prestigious agencies and corporations in the area. Tony's passion also encompasses his wife and two daughters. And a couple of cold Bass Ales now and then.

 

   Patty Jarvis brings a big agency background to her job at SLN, as well as a load of patience. Patty manages our billing, media trafficking, office, and Jaime.  Basically, she runs the place.
